In one case, the authorities were trying to catch a suspect who was running a methamphetamine lab. The criminals running the lab were stealing anhydrous ammonia from a certain location on a farm. So, one probe was stealing anhydrous ammonia. Another probe was a grain bin, since this was a landmark they would have seen if they were there. A third probe stimulus was where they got out of the car. A fourth probe was that they brought along a flashlight.
